Terrence Duffy

Chairman and CEO

Terrence Duffy serves as Chairman and CEO of Lionhart Capital and also as Chairman and CEO of Ferrox Critical Minerals. He has extensive experience in mining operations and development in South Africa, including work with Eastern Platinum and Petra Diamonds.

Terrence founded Lionhart Capital in 1993 with less than $10 million in capital. Under his leadership, the firm has grown into a global investment organization allocating capital across multiple strategies, industry sectors, and asset classes, with a particular focus on mining and natural resources.

Lionhart has received numerous industry awards for its hedge funds, private equity funds, and natural resources investing, including nine awards from Barclay Hedge, three from Hedge Fund Review, and two from EuroHedge.

Before founding Lionhart, Terry served as Head Trader of Global Equity Derivatives at First Interstate Capital Markets, where he helped generate significant profits for the bank’s proprietary trading accounts.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Purdue University.

Marta Miraglia

Corporate Administration

Marta Miraglia joined the Lionhart team in 1998 and has since held a number of key positions across investor relations, administration, and compliance. She currently oversees financial accounting, administration, human resources, and marketing for  Lionhart Capital. Additionally, she manages cash operations for Ferrox Critical Minerals. 

Marta brings a strong background in accounting and management within the financial and construction engineering sectors. She also has prior experience in the finance department of a Zurich-based insurance brokerage firm.

She holds a Bachelors degree in Economic Science from Newton Paiva University in Brazil and a degree in Engineering from the Kennedy Institute. Marta has also completed language studies in German in Switzerland and is fluent in Portuguese, English, and German.

Saad Hussain

Corporate Development, Executive

Saad has more than ten years of experience in mining operations and corporate development, with a strong focus on natural resources in Sub-Saharan Africa. He specializes in bulk and critical mineral commodities, including magnetite, ilmenite and their concentrates, vanadium pentoxide, and phosphates. His expertise also extends to ferro-alloys such as ferro-titanium, ferro-vanadium, and ferro-chromium.

At Ferrox, Saad has played a key role in advancing the company’s operations, including helping secure railway terminal access and transportation allocations for ore and mineral concentrates through South Africa’s largest state-owned enterprises. His contributions have been instrumental in supporting the company’s logistics and export capabilities.

Saad also brings a diverse finance background and is closely involved in Ferrox’s financing and marketing activities. His transaction experience includes structuring and closing financing through an American Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) listed on Nasdaq.

Prior to joining Ferrox and Lionhart, Saad worked in retail banking at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. He holds a Master of Finance from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University in Canada.
